The Rushmoor Fireworks Spectacular is back again at Manor Park, Aldershot on Saturday, 28 October – with free entry!

The event, organised by Rushmoor Borough Council is one of the biggest and best firework displays in the area and last year a record crowd of 14,000 people filled the park to enjoy a superb display set to music.

Thanks again to sponsorship from event partners Grainger plc and Barons BMW & Mini of Farnborough, entry to the event will be free.

The format of the event is the same as last year, with gates opening at 5pm. A large funfair, with catering vehicles offering food and refreshments, will be available leading up to the 20-minute firework spectacular at 7.30pm. Free parking will be available from 3pm at the Parsons Barracks and High Street car parks.

Councillor David Clifford, Leader of Rushmoor Borough Council said: “The Fireworks Spectacular is yet another great family event in Rushmoor’s calendar and we are really looking forward to it!

“As we did last year, we are holding it a week earlier than usual, so in the event that there is bad weather and we have to cancel, residents will still have the opportunity to find another display over the following bonfire night weekend.”

He added: “A big thank you to Grainger plc and Barons of Farnborough who are sponsoring the event which means it will not just be a great event, but a free event for residents”

Alan Chitson, Development Manager at Grainger plc, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the Rushmoor Fireworks Spectacular for another year and enabling it to be a free event for the public. It is a great evening that is always very well supported by the people of Rushmoor. I am sure many of our new families at Wellesley will be there, enjoying the display and the great atmosphere.”

Mark Althorp, Head of Business at Barons BMW & MINI of Farnborough said: “The fireworks spectacular is a hugely popular event which draws in crowds from far and wide. We are thrilled to be continuing our association with this major community event after the success of last year, and delighted our contribution helps ensure it remains free to the public.”
