A national charity providing a subscription-free service of unabridged audio books for adults and children with sight problems, dyslexia or other disabilities, who cannot read print. Through their audio books their younger members can listen to over 1,500 titles from leading children’s authors such as Jacqueline Wilson, David Walliams and Marcus Sedgwick. They also offer a range of titles that support the educational needs of pupils studying for GCSEs or A levels from the main examination boards.

Dive Ability logo

Dive Ability is an organisation providing scuba diving experiences to anyone over eight years old with any level of physical ability. They hold regular pool sessions where differently-abled divers can work on their own skills and reach their full potential. Specialist equipment and fully qualified instructors are on hand at all times. The dive sessions are held at Lord Wandsworth College, Long Sutton, Hook RG29 1TB and are usually on the second Saturday of every month.

Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme logo

The Duke of Edinburgh’s (D of E) is a voluntary scheme for those aged 14-25 years and is a personal development programme for young people that allows them to undertake various activities within the four sections of volunteering, personal skills, physical activities and the expedition. This is a fun and enjoyable way to try out new exciting activities, develop your skills, meet new friends and also get a recognised award for your efforts. Faith and Football logo

Faith and Football is a local community football league, registering 80 children from schools in the Cherrywood area of Farnborough. Children play football at Cove Football Club, enjoying full use of the 3G pitch. Mark McGowan, the Farnborough Football Club Chaplain, heads up the project along with a dedicated team of volunteers. The aims of Faith and Football are to help young people in Years 1 to 3 and Years 4 to 6 reach their potential and to make a difference to their lives. As well as football, events and activities are arranged through the year.

A 10 lane tenpin bowling facility which is open throughout the year, is fully air-conditioned, and has computerised scoring facilities. There is access to target ramps and bumper bars enabling all ages and abilities to bowl with ease.

The opening hours are Monday to Friday 10.00am - 11.30pm; Saturday 11.30am - 11.30pm; Sunday 10.00am - 10.30pm. Shoe hire and admission is included in all their prices.

Farnborough Fins Swimming Club logo

Farnborough Fins Swimming Club is a not-for-profit organisation serving the Farnborough, Camberley and Frimley community. They provide lifesaving skills and swimming lessons and their focus is to promote water safety and reduce childhood drowning.

They run a free Get Safe For Summer water safety course for all children and adults in the local community during the summer term. They also run intensive crash courses throughout the summer holidays.

They are an Amateur Swimming Association Accredited Teaching Training Centre and provide a heavily subsidised school swimming programme. If you would like to discuss how Farnborough Fins could enhance and/or reduce the cost of your school swimming programme, please contact them by email or phone.
